Buying Profile

Buying Categories
Our free buying service is designed to match your buying needs with new items added to the catalog in the last 24 hours.

If a new item has been added to a category you have selected in your buying profile, you will receive a “new item alerts” in your email.  These alerts are delivered every morning to bring your attention to products that may be the most profitable for your business.

You can select categories under the “Buying Categories” option of the ‘Profile’ page. These categories are displayed in a hierarchical structure using a ‘tree menu’.

Creating a Broad Profile
You can quickly create a broad profile of your buying needs by selecting the top-level categories, which first appear on the ‘tree menu’.

If you feel that you are receiving too many useless “new item alerts” in your email, you should consider creating a profile that is more specific to your buying needs.

Creating a Detailed Profile
To create a profile that is more specific to your buying needs, you should select from the available sub-categories under the top-level categories. The sub-categories may contain additional sub-categories to select from.

If you feel that you are not receiving “new items alerts” frequently enough, you should consider selecting sub-categories that are more general to your buying needs.

Viewing sub-categories
To view the sub-categories below a category, click on the [+] to the left of the category. This will expand the tree menu allowing you to see the available sub-categories in a submenu below the category.

Hiding sub-categories
To hide sub-categories from your view simply click on the [-] to the left of the category, this will collapse the submenu below.

Selecting categories
To select a category as a buying preference, click on the small box next to the category.  A checkmark should appear in the box indicating it has been selected.

When you select a category, any sub-categories below it will be automatically selected for you.
Any sub-categories which are automatically selected will become disabled.

If you wish to refine the selection of sub-categories under a selected category, you must first deselect or uncheck the category.  When you have successfully deselected the category, you can select the subcategories of interest to you.

Show/Edit List
You may view a list of the categories you have selected using the 'Show List' option. Select the 'Edit List' option to return back to the 'menu tree'.

Clear ALL
This option will 'DELETE' all categories you have currently selected in your profile.

Refresh
This option will refresh the content displayed in the 'Buying Categories' box. This is useful should you experience any problems with the 'menu tree'.

Saving your Profile
The changes you make to your profile are automatically saved for you.
