A DNS Server is a service that maps Domain Names to IP addresses.
For example, the domain name www.virtualrags.com is mapped to 206.123.66.122.
Use of Domain Names
If you wish to use a domain name for your virtualrags.com store, we will need to perform additional setup & configuration of your website, before and after your DNS records have been sucessfully updated.

If your DNS is hosted with a company such as Godaddy, you should update the "A Record" for your domain name and have it point to the following IP Address

Using a Subdomain Name
If you wish to use a subdomain for your virtualrags.com store, you will need to add an "A record" for your subdomain and have it point to the following IP Address.

- shop.yourdomain.com
- catalog.yourdomain.com
- products.yourdomain.com
- clothing.yourdomain.com
- apparel.yourdomain.com
- wholesale.yourdomain.com
- off-price-clothing.yourdomain.com
Please keep in mind that the subdomain name you select will have some impact on your search engine placement. You should select a descriptive name which is to be used as keyword.
Tips for Choosing a Domain Name
So when choosing your domain name, don't get stuck in the keyword line of thinking. Think in terms of branding.
For Example names such as; L.L.Bean, Spiegel, Victoria's Secret, Amazon.com or eBay are examples of branding. Consider using your business name in part or whole for your domain name. The goal is to have your branding contain a strong association with the products or services you are promoting.
